Privacy Policy

Compac Homes Ltd ("Compac Homes", "we", "us") is a New Zealand company based in Ohinewai, North Waikato. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

Information you give us directly, when you:

• use the 70 Ready Estimate Calculator — your name, email address, phone number, project address, preferred layout and finish level, and timeline
• request a Free Site Assessment — your name, contact details, property address, project timeline, and the granny flat plan and position you select on the map
• book a design consultation, enquire through a contact form, email or phone us, or visit a show home
• submit your details through a lead form on Facebook or Instagram

Information collected automatically when you use our website:

• device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, time on site and how you arrived at our site
• data recorded by cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager, described below

How we use it

• to respond to your enquiry and provide the estimate, site assessment or consultation you asked for
• to contact you about your project by email, phone or text
• to prepare quotes, contracts and, if you proceed, to deliver your build
• to send you information about our homes, offers and events where you have asked for it or would reasonably expect it — you can opt out at any time
• to understand how our website and advertising perform, and to improve them
• to meet our legal and accounting obligations

Cookies, pixels and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and the Meta Pixel to measure whether our advertising on Facebook and Instagram is working and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our site.

These tools may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address and the pages you view. Google and Meta process this information under their own privacy policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and manage ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences and adssettings.google.com.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run our business:

• service providers that host our website and forms, send our email, and manage our customer records
• Meta and Google, for the advertising and analytics purposes described above
• our finance, legal, consent and building partners where you ask us to involve them in your project
• where the law requires it

Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand, including in Australia and the United States. Where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, and as required by law — for example, building and financial records must be kept for set periods. Enquiry details that do not lead to a project are periodically reviewed and deleted.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including access controls, secure hosting and staff training. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you send to us over the internet.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. You can also ask us to stop sending you marketing at any time. To do any of these, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 20 working days.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page, with the effective date shown at the top.
